A rare and exceptional coffee grown in just a few precious hectares in the heart of Colombia. Since 2019, it has been carefully cultivated at Jardines del Edén in Armenia, Quindío, The beating heart of Colombia’s coffee region.Originally developed in Kenya in the 1930s by Scott Agricultural Laboratories, SL28 has become a symbol of resilience, adaptability, and excellence in the world of Arabica coffee.
This is not your everyday coffee. SL28 thrives where others struggle, under intense sun, at high altitudes, and in dry seasons. It produces some of the largest and juiciest coffee cherries, offering a beautiful yield. Yet, its sweetness and size attract pests and disease. Still, it persists.

A Sensory Experience Like No Other
When brewed, SL28 offers a bright, exotic fragrance of cedar, a creamy body, and an elegant, lingering finish with notes of fine wood.
🔄 The Ritual
Brewing it slowly in a V60, dripper, or Kalita like listening to your favorite song and discovering each hidden instrument.
This coffee is harvested following strict ripeness criteria, floated, and hand-sorted to remove any defects.
Cherries were then exposed to 30 hours of underwater fermentation before being pulped. The parchment was then gently washed and then dried in temperature-controlled conditions until ideal moisture content was achieved.
